I definitely thought the same thing when I first saw the figures. The other day I bought a 2009 Tony Romo figure with a missing base and missing helmet. I'm repairing it. The really old figures definitely look better.
Shown below is the new are available for pre-order from our sponsor Entertainment Earth with a suggested retail price of $29.99 each.
I was an avid SportsPicks collector from their very first series back in the day (and not just "my" team). After buying so many and then the line getting dropped suddenly after all that time, not really interested in getting back into it. However, figs look pretty good. Faces are a bit "off", and the level of detail on these is nothing compared to when they first came out and had grass stains, blood stains, dirt stains, etc. (The longer SportsPicks went, the worse they got in that regard (less detailed, less accurate, comically bad reuse of sculpts).
However, these will likely sell. The bases/stands are a nice touch, though the appeal of the packaging leaves something to be desired with that dead space. Will be interesting to see how they do.
The best-selling sport was always football - hands down - and then the other sports were a toss-up. Stores wouldn't manage them by sport (managed them as "SportsPicks" overall), so they'd order too many MLB, NBA or even NHL figs, then end up with peg warmers clogging things up when it was time for NFL figs to show up and get stocked.
Sanders is actually really tempting. One of the greatest running backs of all time and my favorite player to this day. Hmmmmm.....
Why is Mahomes the only one whos not in action?????? Why Todd???!!!! WHY!!!!!! ????
Shown below are three new McFarlane's SportsPicks 7" scale posed figures of the legendary Barry Sanders (Detroit Lions) from McFarlane Toys. Each include a base and backdrop and are official licensed by the NFL and NFLPA. These are available for pre-order at the McFarlaneStore.

So 3 QBs and 1 RB... Yea, that's a wide selection and why only 4 figures? All the rest of the waves had at least 6-8 figures. But at least Mahomes rain coat comes off... ?

Each include a base and backdrop and are officially licensed by the NFL and NFLPA. That's a good point. But all the same, I know the uniform is wrong but this is giving me flashbacks to his injury in the playoffs last year.
