It's funny. I know logically, the lack of lines on New 52 Superman here is bad. It makes it less accurate to the suit from the comics its trying to emulate, and it's especially frustrating that the lines aren't here, on a figure that should have them, when they were there on figures that shouldn't have had them (see: The Hush body).

On the other hand.... I've always hated the armor lines on that suit, they're part of why I dislike New 52 suits in general, so their absence here actually makes this figure more appealing to me. I might just pick this up if I see it in person.

Yeah, I agree, it's the Page Punchers Superman body and it has lines on it, just not there and not the ones that should be there, and he's taken the decorative stripe off the wrist (finally) which was distracting on other versions, so he put it together weirdly. (I like it anyway and I'll try to get it.)

Supergirl has a nice sculpt but she seems to be too tall for my taste, so I'm not sure if I'll pick her up. I got KC Superman on preorder at BBTS. I might pick up Hourman and Starman to help fill out my Justice Society.

She's a little shorter than Batgirl. She seems fine to me.

I think I'm more disappointed in the "S" shield on the New 52 Supes more than anything else. I really hoped it would have been sculpted.

I'd say, for all these mcfurlane figures that are some of you are afraid of not getting, dont worry. The new company will pick up the line and then not only will you get better sculpting and aritculation, they'll probably have them at the 6" size as well.

Although it's likely that a Masterverse-style DC line will be better than McFarlane's line (I still don't see 6" being a scale Mattel reverts to), it will take forever for them to make the characters I like. And I'm not sure they will do a better version of Power Girl. I'm likely to have a McFarlane-focused display for at least the next three years, if not longer.

Where are the lines on this new 52 Superman suit? Good job Mcfarlane.

As someone who doesnt collect this line (just have a few select ones), Im amazed and puzzled at availability and chase, platinum, gold, It would drive me nuts. I cant imagine DC is super happy about having some of their biggest characters not being continuously available.

Im pretty sure Mattel will do a better job, using their muscle, to have core characters more widely available. Ofc theyll have their own issues, too, but yeah, Im curious.Im a casual DC fan and would probably pick up a figure once in a while if they were more classic designs, too. Thinking Mattel will be a bit closer to what Marvel Legends does.

Oof! Not a bad figure of Superman, but as usual, Curt Swan cant catch a break! I grew up on Swans Superman and of course Neil Adams the Superman headsculpt just seems off. More Vinny the enforcer vibes than Swan. Ill probably pass, but maybe Ill try my own sculpt of swan to see if I can figure out why Swans likeness is so hard to capture. Now if they included a closer Alfred E. Newman likeness, thatd be cool as well! Not that Ill ever see this in the wild! LOL!
