McFarlane Collector's Edition Babe Ruth And Mickey Mantle

McFarlane Toys continues their "Collector's Edition" figures by offering New York Yankees legends Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle this summer. The first "Collector's Edition" Sports Picks figure was last year's Barry Bonds figure, packaged in a "window-box" format that was displayable without even opening the box.



The Babe Ruth figure closely resembles the popular "sepia tone" Ruth chase figure from 2005's Cooperstown 2 line. The paint application is meant to resemble a 1920's newsprint photo of "The Great Bambino," which is how most sports fans got to know him during his playing days. It's scheduled to arrive in stores in May.



Mickey Mantle figure is an alternate version of our Cooperstown 3 figure, painted in New York's home pinstripes. Look for Mantle's figure to arrive hit retail shelves in July.

Both "Collector's Edition" figures will be carried nationally by Toys R Us, and also by hobby shops and Internet retailers.
