Spawn.com has shown off the final
Jim Lee cover for
Spawn #150 and has given the beginning to ending layout for the cover.
Pencils (by Jim Lee, of course)…
A couple of months ago Todd sent Jim Lee – former member of and one of the founding father of Image Comics, for those of you not in the know - an e-mail asking if he would be interested in penciling a cover for SPAWN #150 and thus, although only very briefly, returning to the publisher he helped build. A few e-mails back and forth between the two comic book icons and what do you know? Jim happily agreed to provide us with a Hellspawned illustration.
A short while ago, we received his penciled artwork (shown above), and needless to say were all very much impressed – especially those of us in the office who have been longtime comic book readers.
Inks (by Danny Miki)…
Once we had the Jim’s penciled artwork in-hand, it was given to inker-extraordinaire, Danny Miki, who took an already spectacular drawing and added his own touch to it – giving the piece weight with his incredible line work and attention to detail.
Colors (by Brian Haberlin)…
Finally, Brian Haberlin brought the cover to life with his colors, making each element stand on its own while bringing the whole image together.
