Management Change at SOTA TOYS

In 2000, a little toy company was founded by long time toy developer Jerry Macaluso and John Schouweiler. With the objective of making the best toys in the collectible toy market, they named this company State of the Art Toys, or SOTA Toys. SOTA’s commitment to that goal soon attracted some of the industry’s top creative talent. And with this collection of expertise and passion, SOTA Toys grew to become of one of the industry’s most highly regarded toy developers. It has established a new standard through the successes of toy lines like the Street Fighter and Now Playing series.

After all these years with “Team SOTA” and giving collectors so many great products, Jerry Macaluso has decided that the time is right to leave SOTA and pursue his other dreams, including directing his first feature film this fall. In making this decision, Jerry and SOTA have carefully provided for a smooth, seamless transition. The creative team that worked with Jerry remains dedicated to maintaining SOTA’s excellent reputation.

The company’s new management has challenged Team SOTA to surpass its current excellent standards. Although Jerry’s immense skills will be missed, SOTA has the licenses, the artistic, business and marketing expertise, and, most importantly, the passion for toys to accomplish this goal. SOTA will honor the dedication of its loyal fans by enthusiastically continuing the development of its current slate of projects. It wishes Jerry all the best in his new ventures. And SOTA looks forward to its exciting future.
