Nip/Tuck star
Julian McMahon has had to pass on playing 007 in the next
James Bond movie due to his schedule on the popular TV series, says the
Sunday Herald Sun.
McMahon, who certainly looks the part, was apparently offered the role. His mother, Lady Sonia McMahon, spoke openly to guests about the casting at the Melbourne Cup's Moet & Chandon marquee this week.
She revealed her son had indeed "been sounded out about taking on the role. Unfortunately, he had to decline the offer, having recently signed a long-term deal with his hit TV drama series Nip/Tuck."
McMahon, formerly on Charmed, also plays Dr. Doom in the upcoming Fantastic Four adaptation.
