Comedy Action-Adventure Animated Series To Debut On Cartoon Network

Toronto CANADA (February 24, 2004) - Breakthrough Animation has awarded worldwide licensing representation for its animated series ATOMIC BETTY to Joy Tashjian Marketing Group, L.L.C. (JTMG, LLC), it was announced by Kevin Gillis, a managing partner of Breakthrough Animation Inc and Executive Producer of ATOMIC BETTY.

Breakthrough Animation Inc., the newly-established animation production, marketing and distribution division of leading Canadian producer Breakthrough Films & Television, recently signed Cartoon Network as the broadcast home for ATOMIC BETTY in the US.

While several companies pursued the licensing representation for ATOMIC BETTY, Joy Tashjian's licensing program was clearly the most compelling and comprehensive. ATOMIC BETTY represents the first major original production for Breakthrough Animation Inc., which was formed in spring 2003 by respected television industry executives Kevin Gillis, Ira Levy and Peter Williamson.

Joy Tashjian Marketing Group, L.L.C. (JTMG) was formed in 2000 by Joy Tashjian, a licensing and broadcast sales executive with over twenty-five years of industry experience. ATOMIC BETTY follows the adventures of Betty, a little girl with a big secret. To her friends and family, she's the sweet and brainy girl next door, but when the galaxy beckons, she sheds her humdrum persona and becomes: "Atomic Betty, Galactic Guardian and Defender of the Cosmos." While the citizens of Earth carry on with their every day lives, Atomic Betty zips across the galaxy on daring and valiant missions, from saving a race of space monkeys from a giant caterpillar invasion to rescuing a kidnapped ambassador from a ruthless king. She's a hero to the universe, but on her home planet Earth, Betty's just one of the gang. But that's the way she likes it - if her Mom and Dad knew she was out zooming through the cosmos without a license, she'd be grounded for sure!
