'Games Across America' Joins Fans at a Star Wars Convention in Indianapolis
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 5 -- GSN pays homage to "Star Wars," one of the greatest feature film series of all time by airing two classic games shows featuring the voice of and actor behind the original Darth Vader on Saturday, May 21. Additionally, the "Games Across America" series visited a Star Wars Convention in Indianapolis and will air vignettes throughout the primetime line-up May 21.
James Earl Jones, the voice of the original Darth Vader, was the mystery guest on an episode of "What's My Line?" with host Wally Bruner and a panel that included Alan Alda, Arlene Francis, Gail Sheldon and Soupy Sales. Taped on November 25, 1970, this episode will air on May 21 (3:00-3:30 AM, ET/PT).
Shortly after the first installment of the infamous "Star Wars" series was released in May of 1977, David Prowse (the actor who portrayed Darth Vader) appeared on an episode of "To Tell The Truth," hosted by Joe Garagiola. That episode will air on May 21 (3:30-4:00 AM, ET/PT).
The "Games Across America" interstitial series visited a Star Wars Convention in Indianapolis and will weave interstitials around the primetime line-up on May 21, making up about 20 minutes of coverage of fans celebrating their beloved feature film series. Footage will include fans racing their homemade droids and host Kurt Long learning techniques in light saber fighting.
