While we have not confirmed this set from Playmates Toys themselves, an image showed up on Reddit 2-weeks ago of what appears to be a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Original Comic Book Series Black And White Turtle boxset celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the franchise.

According to details which again we have not officially confirmed, this set will be sold by Walmart starting out on their Website only beginning on July 18 and then later will see release in physical stores. No word on price. Thanks to BigJon for the heads up.

We first told you about these the other week, but now Playmates Toys has official revealed their new Walmart Exclusive TMNT 35th Anniversary Black And White Turtles Boxset. As we reported before, this set will be sold by Walmart starting out on their Website only beginning on July 18 and then later will see release in physical stores. Besides the figure the set will also include a bonus version of the original 1984 TMNT comic book with a new cover penned by co-creator Kevin Eastman. Check out the updated images below.

They looknice, I remember the colored versions that came out a couple years back, they seemed ok, Ill stick with my Neca ones though.

Meh. Due to the styling, they lacked some of the articulation of the other Turtle figures of the time, and had no weapon storage whatsoever. I might have still picked 'em up, but they didn't hit that hard here, and I ended up opting for a set of Chinese Neca knock-offs from Ebay.

I will try to get this at my local Walmart, but I won't stress about it. I love the tribute to the comics, but lately playmates has been dropping the ball on their TMNT line in my opinion.

I collected some of the Rise stuff but I hardly see anything new in my area. It's cool that at least other companies are releasingtmnt products but I would like to see something great from playmates. Here's hoping for comic con reveals.

These are the same "Comic Turtles" that Playmates released a couple years back. They're the same scale as Playmates' other Turtle figures.

Thank you for your information.
