TNI: Will any of the MOTU figures that were done as Statues for the NECA line be re-released in the MOTU Classics line as actual action figures, like Hordak for instance?
Mattel: Absolutely. We will also do figures that never made it out as a Staction figure in the new MOTU Classics line.
TNI: I have heard rumors that the Four Horsemen might start working on sculpting figures for the DC Infinite Heroes line, any truth to that or will they only be working on the 6" lines?
Mattel: Right now we are keeping the Horsemen quite busy on both DCUC and MOTU Classics!
TNI: Fans were a little disappointed that there wasn't more news about the Movie Masters figures at SDCC. Can you shed any more details about what we can expect to see in the future? You all hinted at figures based on past Superman movies, does this mean we can expect to see a Christopher Reeves Superman figure in the future? Also, can or will Mattel do figures based on the Watchmen movie?
Mattel: We are still working on plans for this line and do not have any specifics to announce quite yet. Look for news on the Movie Masters line coming soon!
TNI:
Darth Mater was shown off at SDCC as a joint venture between Mattel and Gentle Giant. This item is to be auctioned off at the 2008 Dream Halloween event, with the proceeds of the auction going to the "Children affected by AIDS Foundation". Is this something that collectors at home will be able to bid on, and if so can you share any more details on how that will be handled at this point?
Mattel: Yes. You do not need to be present at Dream Halloween to bid. We will have bidding details posted on
MattyCollector.com in the near future. In addition to Darth Mater, Dream Halloween will also offer the other
Spirit of Grayskull figure from the Masters of the Universe Classics line. (all clear version as shown at SDCC)
TNI: We saw the
5" Dark Knight Two Face figure at Comic-Con. Will there be a 6" version?
Mattel: As announced at SDCC, we are looking to add Two-Face to the line. The character was designed very late in the movie making process, and we were not able to get reference in time to add Harvey to the first few waves.

That needs clarification. Do they mean taking the 200X staction and adding MOTUC articulation to it, keeping the 200X sculpt or are they just making the 200X characters into old school looking figures like King Grayskull?
I think it means the latter: taking the 200X characters and sculpting them like the rest of the MOTUC figures.
Well it sounds promising!

the 200X figs will make it to the MOTUC line. they are also making figures for the characters that were only stactions, as well as characters that were never released.
I want to know if they'll over more KGs seeing as how it sold out pretty quickly and there are quite a few more folks who would like to get one....
That Hordak was statue was awesome. But I thought the same thing when I read it, it needs clarification. All of the statues need to be made into figures. They all looked awesome.
