Masters Of The Universe Origins Eternia Playset Campaign Ends Under 10k Backers- No Keclar Or King Grayskull For All

Mattel's Masters Of The Universe Origins Eternia Playset campaign has come to an end. The final total of backers for it was 9,286.

Since the campaign did not reach 10k Backers, the Origins Keclar, leader of the Elders figure WILL NOT be included at all and only those who backed the campaign in the first week will get the Origins King Grayskull figure.

Everyone who backed the campaign will get the articulated Moat Monster figure since the campaign did surpass 8k backers and of course the Eternia playset itself will move into production since it surpassed the minimum 5k Backers needed.

While this crowdsourcing campaign was more successful than Hasbro's Marvel Legends Engine Of Vengeance one that ended last month in complete failure, it's hard to consider this one a total success since it failed to meet all it's goals. Of course the fact that several other high-priced Masters of the Universe related products went up for sale around the time as this playset did such as Mondo's 1/6 scale $500 Battle Cat and Mattel's own $300 Shogun Masters figures probably didn't help things either.

I'll probably buy this when it comes out , or pre - order it. But no amount of figures Mattel releases will compel me 2 buy the eternia playset. Not 4 its' insane price of $550.

Maybe they should of had figures of King Randor, Queen Marlena and some eternia guards and maybe more people would buy the eternia playset

Love this character. One of the last characters I ever bought as a child. Love the New Eternia Designs. They seem to be picking up some of these characters that didn't make it into the Revelations show. I resisted collecting these at first cuz Revelations was so bad, but I decided my love for the property couldn't be killed by a terrible writer/director who was never a fan of the property in the first place. No surprise there. Cool designs though, I'll give him that much.

That Pigheaded thing is so crazy looking with a wild ayass color scheme. It's just so out there I gotta have it. Brings me back to the good old days where their was no internet and stuff just popped up on the shelf and everything was different and new.

Am i alone in thinking that the double joints really wrecks some of these figures? Sorceress just looks awful because of those. And she really doesn't need that range. It's fine on stratos and even evil lyn where the costume helps cover the joint but it just really doesn't look good on a lot of figures.

I think double joints are ugly in general and wish toy designers would just try to get more range off of single joints. There were some Black series figures that could do it so it IS possible.

This is the worst look I've seen for Sorceress (and I know it's Revelations). It's just an awful design. The long skirt and the cape make it look she is a grandmother wearing a shawl. Sorceress is one of my favorite Filmation characters and Revelations just completely wrecked her look. I wish Masterverse would make up its mind as to whether it's going to do classic versions (like the PoP figures) or Revelations versions or both (He-Man and Skeletor).
