September 29, 2007
Wrestling superstar, now Iron Grenadier Trainer, was on hand at the GIJoe Convention this weekend where he signed many autographs and conducted a Q&A panel with fans. During the Panel, he told several wrestling stories including one about wrestling a bear. Piper also talked about a time when he and Sgt. Slaughter got to speed down the highways of NC in a limousine that the military had painted in some type of special camouflage paint that made the vehicle undetectable to police radar. Piper told fans that he would be appearing in a movie with Jack Black titled "Ye Olde Times", and that he had been involved in some talks with John Carpenter and the Sci Fi Channel about doing a "They Live" television series. Earlier in the day Piper was presented a "Welcome to Cobra" trophy by the folks at Hasbro toys. When asked about the upcoming GIJoe movie, Piper stated that he wants to be in it.
