Two Versions Of The 6" GI.Joe Classified Cobra Commander Figure In The Works?!?

Yesterday we showed you images of the upcoming 6" GIJoe Classified Cobra Commander which should be slated for release in the second wave of Classified figures coming from Hasbro.

While the second wave itself we have heard should be available for pre-order at most major etailers later this month, Hasbro apparently gave this thentwrk.com an early crack at the figure which is said to start offering the figure this coming Thursday at 8pm ET. Note while I have never heard of this place before, it apparently is only accessible through the use of a phone app.

Anyway, while there was no mention in the initial report of the figure being offered through this ntwrk site differing from the version coming in wave 2, it now seems as if there will be a difference. The ntwrk site has released their own images of the figure they will be selling, which you can see below. From these new images you can see their version has lighter blue paint apps and gold trim, more in keeping with the characters classic figure colors.

While we can't say 100% there will be two different versions offered, since Hasbro themselves have been silent on the figures release up until now, we think the chances are pretty good there will be. They did something similar in wave one with the Snake-Eyes figure, offering one version through their own HasbroPulse site and then a second all-black version in the regular wave. With that figure, Hasbro waited until the last possible minute to officially announce the regular wave 1 version, we assume so people would be more inclined to purchase the exclusive version before realizing a regular version was coming.

Anyway check out images of the light blue one below as well as a comparison image showing the differences between the two figures, and stay-tuned for more details on this as they become available.

Uh, okay. But couldn't I just wait a few months and grab one at Walmart?

You know, without signing up for a defective ap from a company I had never even heard of before last week.

Sure. Just thought I'd let people know it was back and get it saving a few bucks. Sorry for wasting your time.

The figure is back available on NTWRK. I just picked up another one for $10.94 because I had credit. If you addcode themerE4TC to your profile you get $15 credit using the app and can get the Cobra Commander shipped for $15.94, which is less than you will pay to preorder it from anywhere else on Friday.

I also do hope the helmet is removable just like in the 25th Anniversary 3.75" line. That dome needs a chromepaint make-over, IMHO.

The lighter blue version is more in keeping with the OG version of hissshighnesss. And the gildedaccents popon the figure, and, not to mention,is in line with color palette of the Classified line.

I agree, the dark blue would be great if they release him again with a hooded head version. I think the light blue fits the dome helmeted head better.

You said it brother!

The light blue version is the better one in my opinion but the dark blue version is more like hooded cobra commander.

I am so glad I didn't download the app and ordered the figure. I feel bad for anyone that wanted to get the light blue CC.This is such a debacle. Not sure why Hasbro allowed this to happen. They should have just offered the Light Blue version on Hasbro Pulse. I even so some people in Canada ordering the figure and having to pay almost $45 after shipping.
