G.I. Joe Classified 6" B.A.T. And Alley Viper

This past weekend during Pulse-Con, Hasbro gave us our first look at the new regular 6" G.I. Joe Classified Battle Android Trooper (B.A.T.) figure. While they showed it off a bit, they didn't actually give us any information on how, when or where it will see release.

While I still can't tell you when exactly it will be released, other than it should be sometime in 2022, I can tell you based on information I have seen that it will be a general release figure. It WILL NOT be a store exclusive. Besides the B.A.T. figure I also can tell you once again based on information I have seen that the long awaited 6" Classified Cobra Alley Viper will also be getting a general release in 2022.

Hasbro is going to be holding a special live-stream event this evening at 5pm ET for their Premium members where it's possible we could get one or two additional G.I. Joe Classified reveals made by them. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't go on and show off the Alley Viper.

Another possible reveal we might see this evening is the Classified Cobra Officer figure. You may recall the RUMORED list of Classified figures for 2022 we told you about back in August which was originally revealed by the folks at WOJM. If you forgot about it, here it is again:

January 2022
-Deluxe Croc Master with crocodile

February 2022
-Storm Shadow
-Spirit With Freedom
-Cobra Officer

April 2022
-Tomax
-Xamot
-Stalker

June 2022
-Crimson Guard
-Zarana
-Dusty

-Cobra Viper And Viper Officer 2-pack

July 2022
Unknown crossover type figure similar to Fortnite Snake-Eyes

Target exclusives will now be themed Tiger Force vs Python Patrol.

June 2022 Target Exclusives
-Outback
-Python Viper
-Python B.A.T.

As you can see the first 3 figures on this list have panned out to be true with the Deluxe Croc Master, Spirit and Storm Shadow, all of which are available for pre-order now at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. The 3 Target exclusive Tiger Force/Python Patrol figures as we learned this past weekend also turned out to be true.

The third regular figure listed along with Spirit and Storm Shadow is that Cobra Officer.

Now the two figures you don't see in the list from WOJM are that B.A.T. and Cobra Alley Viper, and while based on the info I have seen I am confident they are regular releases, I don't know where they will be added in the list above. Since there is nothing listed for a March release, I could see them sticking the two in there or it's possible some figure releases could be shifted around.

In other words I feel pretty confident in the legitimacy of the list from WOJM that these will be figures we see released, but I do think changes could be made to the release schedules, especially with everything going on with the global shipping delays happening in the world today.

If there are any new reveals made this evening during that Hasbro Pulse Premium Member live-stream, we will be sure to update you all with them here on TNI as soon as we are able to.

I don't think there is any. I'm sure they just wanted something with rad colors that would stand out at a Toys R Us or at a grocery store toy aisle, and bright orange and blue seemed good because it was 1989 and Neon hadn't caught on yet.Either that or somebody was a big Mets fan.

Thanks. Yeah it seems bizarre. I mean I've done my share of lurking in alleys (really, who amongst us hasn't) and I never recalled seeing lots of orange and blue on the walls. If they were gonna go "urban camo" seems grays/blacks/rust would be more fitting. But really, I'm just digging that flip visor and the shield!

As a matter of fact it was like two years before Hasbro decided to put neon colors on EVERYTHING... I remember seen Alley Viper and feeling like wow this figure is so different and shiny colors, I like it... The rest of the 89 line was darker colors... Frag Viper and Night Viper were also from the same year!??

I'm not that knowledgeable about the GI Joe line...I see that at some point they put the neon colors on, but what was the reason for orange and blue camo color scheme? I read that they're COBRA's answer to police S.W.A.T. units, and they specialize in inner-city invasion. But what's the orange and blue association with alleys?

I will get both... The ones from Hasbro which are accurate to the toys and the ones from Super 7 which are VERY accurate to the cartoon...???

Oh the B.A.T looks amazing, so does the Alley-Viper. Since Target took the pre-order money off my card (it's just pending until it comes out) I can't wait a lil longer to preorder these are maybe wait til August. Want two B.A.T. and at least one Alley-Viper. For future characters, I think the S.A.W. Viper would be great, Frag Viper for getting some grenades, Zombie Viper because yes I loved them but maybe it's time for some water based. Eel or Hydro Viper maybe. Another Cobra agent maybe Wild Weasel.

I will get two of each just like I did with Target Python Patrol figures...???

The Officer looks OK, I like the guns more than the figure. I don't have much attachment to the Alley Viper but it's a really nice design, I may pick it up just because of that.

Looks really good...??

A new package image for the G.I. Joe Classified B.A.T. figure from Hasbro surfaced on social media late last night which gives us another look at the figure that Hasbro first revealed last weekend during Pulse-Con. The figure is number 33 in the line.As we first reported earlier this week, both the B.A.T. and the Alley Viper that was officially revealed during Hasbro's "1027" event should be general releases in the line, though Hasbro has yet to officially confirm that.

As for when these figures will be released, that is less clear as release dates for many products seem to be in-flux due to all the shipping delays going on in the world. Right now its looking like this is how things will go:-Deluxe Croc Master #38-Storm Shadow #35-Spirit #36-Cobra Officier #37-B.A.T. #33-Cobra Allery Viper #34Places like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com have the Croc Master listed with an April 2022 release and the Storm Shadow, Spirit and Cobra Officer figures with a July release.I am making an assumption the Alley Viper will be figure #34 in the line. The number on these figures seem to be in reverse of how they will actually be released. Assuming the release dates BBTS has listed for the first 5 figures hold, I would say we can expect to see the B.A.T. and Alley Viper hit in August, likely officially going up for pre-order sometime next month in November. So just to sum up, I wouldn't consider the actual release dates of these figures to be set in stone at this point, but I do believe this is the order in which they will be released next year.
