Like do many, I often don't have the luxury of inspecting in person and I'm an opener so it doesn't make much of a different to me... *unless* they use it as another reason to bump up the price...
Honestly, I don't mind the plastic free because I preorder everything I can anyway and I'm an opener. But I get the argument for those that don't like it and I'm glad for them.
I'm perfectly fine without the plastic. I'm only buying from online sources these days so I don't get to eyeball the figures before I buy them. I haven't had any quality control issues in a long time. I can see if someone left a figure mint in package, they would at least want to get to actually see the figure sometimes. I open everything though. The plastic window doesn't do anything for me.

I'm happy that they're going back. The switch to windowless packaging was the death knell for my GI Joe Classified collecting. I've got every windowed packaging figure they did (not the retros) but have skipped on everything that was done windowless and I doubt that I'll start back up now after missing on guys like Serpentor, Mindbender, Slaughter, the Viper 3-pack, the ninjas, etc. I don't open these figures or there was no point in buying them in windowless packaging. I still collect Legends, so I'll be happy to be able to display those in their packaging again. I basically only buy Black Series or Power Rangers on clearance for customs and that's all I would intend for Indy figures also - so they would have been opened anyway.
F THE WORLD!
More plastic on everything!!!

While the demand is there, I don't see why it is a necessity to step back to what was before. I hoped for a more creative way to see what's inside the package. Now we're gonna have more plastic in dumps, and even less eco-friendly toylines. I'm still hoping for a third way to be introduced, because this is pure waste.
I honestly don't care one way or another on this issue. I order almost everything online so I can't inspect anything first anyway.
I'm all for plastic waste minimization but buying current packaging is like rolling the dice be it figure swaps or paint job errors and imperfections, which actually demotivated me from buying new figures like RYV set since I don't want to put 60 bucks into Spidey figure that might have misaligned webbing and eye paint.

I said back when they announced this windowless packaging s*** that it wouldn't last and lo and behold...
11 minutes ago, Outsiders said:Great... More things that will be busted and/or ripped when Hasbro makes a figure a Walmart exclusive...
Even though I'm an opener....I'm glad I can see what I'm getting before I open it or buy it again.
