Hasbro Confirms New Cobra Commander And Lt. Falcon Figures Coming To G.I. Joe Classified Line

The Hasbro G.I. Joe Classified Brand Team in a recent interview with A Toy Kinda Mood revealed that there will be another Cobra Commander and Lt. Falcon figure coming to the G.I. Joe Classified line.

For Cobra Commander this would be in addition to the Once A Man Cobra Commander they announced last month at WonderCon. No other details were given. My guess this will be a Battle Helmet Cobra Commander on retro cardback with a regular Cobra symbol on his chest as opposed to the one that came with the HASLAB H.I.S.S. Tank that had the Cobra "Mickey Mouse" type symbol. If that is the case it would be great if Hasbro also included a hooded headsculpt. I suppose it's possible they could just do a Hooded Cobra Commander or the other likely possibility would be a Battle Armor Cobra Commander.

For the new Lt. Falcon they said it would be released in a new 2-pack. My guess is this will be a NightForce version. In the original line they did a NightForce Lt. Falcon with Sneak Peek which you can see below. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what Hasbro does here as a Walmart exclusive and then eventually we will get a regular version of Sneak Peek in the mainline. We've already gotten a regular Lt. Falcon in the mainline but many people where unhappy with the headsculpt on that figure. Hopefully if the new Lt. Falcon is a NightForce version the headsculpt will be improved. Since the beret would likely be removable on it you could then likely use the new headsculpt on the original figure.

I wonder if Zemo's hooded head would fit on CC's body?

I think that's my favorite version which was portrayed in the NES and Arcade versions...

If a Classified v4 Snake Eyes ends up looking close to that awesome custom, then I would definitely pick that up

Didn't seem like a tease to me but yeah never had much doubt that a v4 inspired Snake Eyes would make its way into the line eventually. I'll be all over that and v3.

No ninja toes though, please.

The folks at Toy Kinda Mood feel confident that Lenny from the G.I. Joe Hasbro brand team was teasing a 1991 Snake-Eyes V4 during their interview earlier this week.

We told you before how Hasbro during that interview revealed another Cobra Commander figure was coming beyond the Once A Man Cobra Commander they announced at WonderCon along with another Lt. Falcon figure that would be released in a new 2-pack.Beyond that Toy Kinda Mood points out how Lenny was holding up at time mark 6:29 a 1991 Snake-Eyes version 2 figure. There was no reference to this figure during the interview so we can only speculate at this point if this was an actual tease or just something on his desk he was fidgeting with during the interview. Regardless of whether this was a deliberate tease or not I feel it's probably safe to assume this version of Snake Eyes will make it's way to the line sooner or later.Shown below is a Classified Custom of that version of Snake-Eyes that was done by slicescustoms. Is this a figure you would want to add to your collection?

I don't care who Falcon comes with. If he has a new head then I will get them. I always liked all of the different decos Falcon had; Night Force, Sonic Fighter and Marauders. I'd take any or all of them.

So, any ideas who he might be packed with??

I'm thinking it might be "Once a man" Cobra Commander. Chris McLeod doesn't have a spot for that figure in his listings/codenames break down, and Falcon's 2-pack mate is supposed to be an enemy and also not an army builder (imagine how crappy it would be to have to buy an extra bunch of Falcons to get a team of Night Vipers or whatever). Take into account that in the interview above, Emily said, "It's a Cobra Commander kind of year," which implies that the very likely to be Retro CoCo she name dropped won't be the only Cobra Commander released this year, and since the only other CoCo we know of that's coming for sure is that mutated version, it seems he might be a 2024 figure. Couple that with being in the same movie as Falcon, knowing the Joe team's affinity for the movie, and also taking into account how much Lenny has talked about wanting Night Force to be facing off against the strange/unknown/horror elements of Cobra, and that's gonna be my guess.

Seems the word on the street is that this is indeed NF Falcon, but whoever is joining him in the pack is not NF.

I really think we will get an All New head sculpt for Falcon. Hasbro knows they need to redeem themselves. Im guessing a Night Force Falcon with Sneak Peek sounds most likely, the Classified team likes to honor there roots while adding there own additions to the legacy. And I think we see a Retro Cobra Commander before Battle Armor CoCo, but either way, I would be happy ?
