I've never really like the execution of the crossovers. The idea of it is really good, but I feel like they're just slapping HISS or Awestriker parts on a Transformer. I get they're using already tooled figures, and the cost to engineer and tool up a brand new Transformer would make it much more expensive but these are Hasbro's Flagship (pun intended) lines. Go all in or don't do it at all. If they make a quality figure, that clearly shows an intent to appeal to the consumer people would buy it. I was all in to buy the Megatron/HISS until I saw and heard the reviews of a figure with slapped on parts. It immediately turned me off the concept and nothing I've seen since has gotten me interested.

All the recent GI Joe Crossover Transformers are actually all entirely new molds, newly engineered. No reuse at all. It was purely a creative decision to design the robot modes as "their G1 designs with the Joe/Cobra alt mode kibble slapped on" instead of actually doing the more interesting "a version of their G1 design more fundamentally designed around transforming into this new alt mode".

So there's a Joe live stream Thursday and the Sarge just happens to be there too? Interesting. I think a Triple T Transformers cross over is likely but I feel like there's more. With all the Cobra La figures coming out I wouldn't be surprised to see a box set of the Renegades or possibly a Classified scale Triple T.
