Ultimately, no one is complaining about more accessories. Cool. They can make a Slaughter that comes with 10 different funky hats and I'd still buy it. Slaughter also wore a kiyefeh during his run which would have been 1,000X better and more hilarious reference of his wrestling career.

However,

Heel Slaughter isn't wearing brown. (I have no problem getting pedantic). But I mean seriously its nearly like getting gaslit all these people keep talking about BROWN. Khaki is not brown.

We are literally talking about making an Easter Egg reference to something only because one thing that looks nothing like another thing happens to be in the same color family. Thats called 'stretching' to me.

Also, I'm not disputing what it is, its not that I think any of you are wrong, its just a lame reason to me.

I recall Heel Slaughter by Mattel not exactly flying off shelves as well. But again, thats not really the point of this Slaughter, its just a fun additional accessory.

Its also not beyond me that I tend to have the unpopular opinion.

But if the figure is in brown like colors like the version 3 figure. The a nod to his heel turn makes more sense with the alternate head. Though it would be cool if they gave us a Cobra Heel turn like this custom from last years Joefest.

I bet we'll be getting another two pack with Taurus and Red Dog. I would've preferred a three pack of the Renegades since we already got a decent Slaughter.

During the last G.I. Joe Fanstream Hasbro revealed that we would soon be getting a new Classified 2-Pack with Sgt. Slaughter and the former Cobra Operative turned Renegades Mercer. Now thanks to JKhan an image of an early unpainted factory sample has popped up possibly giving us our first look at the Slaughter figure in the set.The figure looks like may be based on the original V3 Sgt. Slaughter figure that was packed with the Warthog A.I.F.V. (Amphibious Infantry Fighting Vehicle) back in 1990. This featured the Sarge in brown desert like colors.

What is really curious about this image however is the headsculpt with the Sarge wearing a beret. Assuming this figure is featured in brown desert like colors, the only time I recall Slaughter wearing a beret was when he was in the WWE and they had the character do a heel turn becoming a bad guy to fight Hulk Hogan. In the WWE storyline, Sgt. Slaughter joined up with Adnan Al-Kaissie AKA General Adnan to become an Iraqi Sympathizer. Coincidentally that storyline took place after Slaughter returned to WWE after taking a hiatus to join Hasbro's G.I. Joe team as the first real-life G.I. Joe character.It's hard to say for sure but seems like Hasbro may be paying tribute to that infamous heel-turn storyline from Slaughter's WWE days with this new figure along with giving us a V3 look from the original toyline. When more details become available we will be sure to let you know.

Somehow I was as sleep at the wheel when this Fanstream aired....oops, but was lucky enough to get pre-orders in for everything I wanted Frag-Viper, Darklon, Blowtorch, Footloose and Law & Order Yay.
