AMT to Individually Release Munster Koach & Drag-U-La Model Kits

AMT, a brand of Round 2, LLC, is happy to announce that the Munster Koach and Grandpa’s Drag-U-La, the classic vehicle model kits based on “The Munsters” TV series, will be returning this fall in individual cardboard boxes, decked out in the original packaging art! The product is licensed by NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group.

John Greczula, Brand Manager for AMT, explains, “AMT's Special Edition Munster Koach and Drag-U-La double kit in exclusive tin packaging has been an enormous success. Even before the set was released, we began to receive requests for the kits to be issued separately, in standard packaging; specifically, with the original 1964 box art.” This release of the Drag-U-La represents the first time in more than 30 years that it has been sold as an individual item.

To sweeten the deal, consumers will be treated to a bonus full-color cardboard display base with a backdrop. The two kits’ backdrops combine to create a delightfully macabre display to put your completed models on! For the finishing touch, the Munster Koach version even includes an additional cardboard standup featuring the entire Munsters family!

These 1/25 scale kits are Skill Level 2 and require paint and cement. They’ll be creeping into hobby stores in the fourth quarter of 2011!
