Round 2 And Autoworld Make "Christine" The Newest Silver Screen Machine

by Jay Cochran
December 28, 2012
Round 2 is excited to announce the 1958 Plymouth Fury from the movie Christine, based on Steven King’s best-seller. The 1983 movie poster proclaimed: She was born bad. Plain and simple. The limited edition die-cast replica of the Fury has been upgraded to accurately reflect the movie car. You’ll swear it’s alive. Christine is available in 1:18 scale die-cast, as a 1:25 scale standard model, and a 1:43 resin model.

“Christine” is a limited edition 1:18 scale die-cast replica with red body and red interior, dark tinted windows, and working headlights. The finely detailed features of this vehicle include chrome hub caps with white wall tires and the golden Commando 350 V8 engine with engine block coloring and two 4-barrel carbs boasting 305hp, as well as upgraded features like front and rear screen accurate license plates, detailed dash panels, carpet and door coloring, and authentically finished exterior trim.

The 1:25 scale AMT model includes modern tooling, with vinyl tires with whitewall inserts, super-detailed chassis, motor, and interior assemblies. The level 2 kit is molded in white, includes a sheet full of optional decals, and will be available at retail February 2013. Christine will also be available later in 2013 in a high-quality 1:43 scale resin replica. Featuring a red body with detailed red interior, dark tinted windows, and chrome hub caps with white wall tires, this model has never been made in resin in this scale. The 1:43 scale model includes a clear display case and base.
