If this were more cartoon accurate with this upscaled design, I would purchase it. I do see some things that I really like and also in agreement with others on the fur and armor that is not so appealing. I do like the eye in the sword being gemlike along with the symbol on the belt appearing to be translucent. If they decide to make a second edition that if more cartoon accurate with this level of detailing, I would buy it. For now, I will stick to Super7.
Those with independent visions of Lion-O may like this. Who know... I may give it another look before the 10 days are up and buy it.

I'm a fan of 80s cartoon so this version of the figures are not speaking to me like the Super 7 Ultimates does... Maybe you guys fans of this type of style like it and buy it... I wonder what's the opinion of those saying ThunderCats Ultimates figures are expensive ???
There's no official source that this is based on but if you look at most Thundercats fan art...the fur texture all over, literal lion face and modernizing his attire so that it's more like multi-layered armor are all fan art tropes. I guess done to try to update it. But, imo, it never really looks right to me. The 80s cartoon animation look is my prefered look.

They are Mondo version of the T-cats, similar to how MOTU 1/6 Scale Line started.

He confirmed that it does, but I've yet to see a photo with it removed. I (and apparently lots of other people) do not care for it at all.
Hmm well the armor definitely looks like a separate piece but that doesnt necessarily mean its supposed to be removed. I would also be interested in seeing the unarmored sculpt. Not that I can afford any mondo but still curious.
