Netflix Adapting Ubisoft's 'The Division' With Jessica Chastain And Jake Gyllenhaal

Netflix has announced that Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain are set to star in the adapted version based on the best-selling Tom Clancy video game, The Division.

The Division takes place In the near future, a pandemic virus is spread via paper money on Black Friday, decimating the city of New York and killing millions. By Christmas, what’s left of society has descended into chaos. A group of civilians, trained to operate in catastrophic times, are activated in an attempt to save who and what remains.

The adapted version will be directed by David Leitch from a screenplay by Rafe Judkins. Producers are Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Chastain, 87North Productions, Nine Stories, Freckle Films and Ubisoft Film and Television.
