HBO Announces 'Watchmen' Premiere Date

WATCHMEN premieres SUNDAY, OCT. 20 (9:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, WATCHMEN, from executive producer Damon Lindelof (Emmy® winner for “Lost”; HBO’s “The Leftovers”) embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own. Nicole Kassell directs the pilot from a script written by Lindelof.
The cast of the highly anticipated series includes Jean Smart (as Agent Blake), Jeremy Irons (Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias), Don Johnson, Regina King, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon.
WATCHMEN is produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television; executive producer/writer, Damon Lindelof; executive producer/director, Nicole Kassell; executive producer, Tom Spezialy; executive producer/director, Stephen Williams; executive producer, Joseph Iberti. Based on the iconic graphic novel co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons and published by DC.

Ah, more nihilistic, deconstructionist dark-hero garbage. You know, between this cliche and Marvel's douche-comedy cliche, I'm really thinking this genre has gotten into a rut . . . a really poorly written rut.
Gotta give this a chance, sounds interesting.
Ill definitely be watching this.
