I definitely enjoyed the first season much more than the 2nd but Im hoping they go more into lore and other familiar characters.

I really liked the first episode and then they introduced Trevor Belmont and it went downhill for me. I expected things to get better in season 2 but they introduced new characters when they barely did anything with the ones they had and the "heroes" spent most of the season spinning their wheels. I do love Dracula's design in the series and I did enjoy that they included Isaac and Hector as I really enjoyed the Devil Forgemaster story line from Curse of Darkness.

When I first saw Vampire Hunter D, I thought it had a Castlevania vibe to it, one of the reasons both movies remain my favorite piece of Japanese Animation. As for the series, Castlevania being my all time favorite video game series I was really looking forward to it but I was so disappointed with we got that. I'm hoping season 3 can turn things around for me but I'm not holding my breath.
