It’s time for a new generation of justice! Get ready for nonstop action with the release of DC’s Stargirl: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray and DVD on September 29, 2020 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Strap yourself in for an exhilarating ride with all 13 episodes from the first season of the original series on DC UNIVERSE & The CW. Focusing on the character that started creator Geoff Johns’ career in comic books, when he created her, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a plane explosion, new DC drama series, DC’s Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to take up the legacy of a long-lost Super Hero team – The Justice Society of America – and stop the Super-Villains of the past.

“There is nothing like watching a Super Hero suit-up for the first time,” said Rosemary Markson, WBHEG Senior Vice President, TV Marketing. “In only its first season, the critically acclaimed series continues to gain momentum, and we are eager to make this outstanding series available on all formats – Digital, Blu-ray and DVD – for fans and newcomers to enjoy.”

Featuring all 13 episodes from the first season in high definition, as well as a digital code of the season (available in the U.S. only).

DC’s Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger (Bella & the Bulldogs, All Night), Yvette Monreal (Rambo: Last Blood, Faking It), Anjelika Washington (Tall Girl, Young Sheldon), Cameron Gellman (Heathers, 20th Century Women), Trae Romano (Robbie, 555), Jake Austin Walker (Rectify, Fear the Walking Dead), Hunter Sansone (Safety), Meg DeLacy (The Fosters), Neil Jackson (Absentia) and Christopher James Baker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ozark), with Amy Smart (Just Friends, The Butterfly Effect) and Luke Wilson (Old School, Roadies). Based on the DC characters and created for television by Geoff Johns, DC’s Stargirl is produced by Berlanti Productions and Mad Ghost Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television with Geoff Johns (Titans, Wonder Woman), Greg Berlanti (Batwoman, The Flash, Supergirl), Melissa Carter (Queen Sugar), Greg Beeman (Timeless, Falling Skies) and Sarah Schechter (Riverdale, Blindspot, Katy Keene) serving as executive producers. It's a Berlanti show in name only. It has no ties to the Arrowverse, Berlanti has ZERO creative input, and only has a producer credit because it's the CW and that seems to be a requirement or some $#!+. Geoff Johns is the showrunner. I've complained a little bit about it's inconsistency once other people started writing episodes beginning with Ep 3 (probably the low point of the season), but it has been light years ahead of the Berlanti stuff in terms of quality and understanding the characters from the comics, which no doubt comes from the fact that John's created several of them and used to actually write the damn comics on which the show is based.

See, that's what I've been hearing, and from the pilot, I believe it. I guess I'll just have to cowboy up and enjoy the ride.

So far, I've only seen the first episode . . . and loved it. That's why I can't bring myself to catch the rest. Years of near-constant disappointment from the Arrow-verse have left me gun-shy. If the rest of the season is only half as good as the first episode, I'd still be in superhero TV heaven. If, however, it sinks to the level of the other Berlanti shows, it'll just break my heart.

Lost The Flash, lost Supergirl, lost Batwoman, they even ruined Crisis with the friggin' teddy bear, I can't bare to lose another one.

Right now this is my favorite show to watch.

I'm wondering if in season 2 we will get Jade & Obsidian.

I agree, its not as bland and boring as what the other CW shows lately (last 2-3 seasons of the cw shows have been very repetitive and not that intresting in my opinion, the quality of the stories has been declining steadily, and the episodes seem really repetitive) this show so far seems a little fresher and more intresting (kind of like how every other DC show started as) but even then it hasnt really caught my attention to a full extent, If it werent for the fact that right now there are hardly any other new things airing I probably wouldnt be watching this one either.

First two episodes were outstanding. It wouldn't be realistic to expect Geoff Johns to write every episode, but if he did, this could be one of the very best superhero shows ever made.

Not buying this. It's better than the other CW superhero fare (so far), but it's not as consistent as it could be.
