Deadline is reporting that Brockmire alumna Reina Hardesty has joined the cast as a lead character in Amazons college-set spinoff of The Boys.
The untitled series includes Hardesty and previously cast of Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Maddie Phillips, Jaz Sinclair and Lizze Broadway.
Written by The Boys executive producer Craig Rosenberg, the Spinoff is set at Americas only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International). It is described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.
Hardesty recently starred as Brockmires daughter in the final season of IFCs acclaimed series Brockmire and has recurred on The CWs The Flash and DCs Legends of Tomorrow.
I agree with Scareglow, I really enjoyed the original series, I dont care for the premise but if it comes out as good as the original then Im down. I will def watch it just to see how it goes tho.
I have no problems with this on paper, if it's anything as good as The Boys, count me in, I don't care about the premise, I just have faith that it will be good if it is as wonderfully written and produced as the boys.
With the recent castings, are we looking at, The Girls?
Spin Off?
