Yeah, that synopsis hasn't improved my estimation of this project. It just reinforces my opinion this'll be some low-rent horror anthology with Chucky being little more than window dressing with a couple feature episodes just to keep the fans' attention. Basically, just rehashed Freddy's Nightmares.

It also doesn't help the synopsis sounds a little TO similar to one they did for that aborted attempt at a Freddy's' type show for Jason.

I hope this gets back to the whole Nica/Chucky and Tiffany thing from the end of Cult of Chucky. Don Mancini said it would, but it's also been a while since he talked about that, I think.

Yeah I'm super into this, I can't wait, looks like good fun, feels like the 80's in that trailer, wasn't a lot of footage, but I felt happy enough.

The SyFy network has released a new teaser poster and promo for the October 12th premiere of 'Chucky' on SyFy and USA Network.

The series comes from Child's Play creator Don Mancini and will follow its namesake's (Brad Dourif) exploits in an idyllic American town after our favorite Good Guy doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town's deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky's past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

I haven't seen a Chucky movie since Bride of Chucky. A series based on the franchise is not something that's on my want list for TV but maybe I'll check it out at some point.
