Would have been so, so cool a role. For a younger Walken....

From what I remember Emperor supposed to look much younger for his age, around 35-40, which makes me wonder if they gonna make him younger for this role.

Christoper Walken IMO is perfect for this role, after all, we were supposed to get Salvador Dali in Jodorowsky's Dune which would have been really weird, Walken is weird, especially in more recent years but he is still an actor who can play a range of characters, especially if you take his role in Batman Returns where he played a more charismatic type of a bad guy. Also, it helps that his Fat Slim Boy music video had a Dune reference, which makes this casting genius in some respect.

Yeah......Could have been a "Spoof"...

Christoper Walken as Batman!!!!!

You could call it.....The Dark Knight "does" Return!!!!

Be like a "Big Daddy" (Nick Cage)!!!....

Would have been so, so cool a role. For a younger Walken....

IMHO of course ;^)

I don't really want to question Denis here, and I love Christopher Walken as an actor and a personality, but he seems maybe a bit too weird to play Emperor Shaddam IV. I'll reserve final judgement, but as a fan of the books and the movies, I think Ralph Fiennes or Kenneth Branagh would be a better fit for what has so far been a decidedly less weird Dune than what David Lynch made 38 years ago.
