Deadline is reporting HBO Max has decided to pass on a series based on DC Comics’ Madame X with Angela Robinson. A pilot script has been written. The series was in development from Abrams’ Bad Robot in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Robinson would executive produce and set to serve as a showrunner. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich are executive producers for Bad Robot.

HBO Max decided to pass on the series as they already have seven live-action DC series and don't want to continue adding on more.

The series will be shopped around to other networks.
