Modern Magic Developing 'Elfquest' Animated Series Based On Comics At Fox

Elfquest, the beloved epic fantasy adventure comic series created by Wendy and Richard Pini, has received a script commitment from Fox for a one-hour animated drama series. The adaptation will be penned by Susan Hurwitz Arneson, who will also serve as the showrunner and executive producer.

Published by Dark Horse Comics in 1978, Elfquest tells the captivating tale of a community of elves and various fictional species as they navigate the challenges of survival and coexistence on a primitive Earth-like planet adorned with two moons. Joining Arneson and the Pinis as executive producers are Rodney Rothman and Adam Rosenberg from Modern Magic. The studio responsible for the series is Bento Box Entertainment.
