Like how many times can the cliche rag-tag team of misfits with a heart of gold be done? Always one talking animal, a goofy/sparky leader, the female for eye candy, and a loud bombastic walking punchline...
Fundamentally the guy cannot write a good movie, he isn't even responsible for Dawn of the Dead btw that was rewritten by 2 other writers and yet he still got authoritative credit somehow. He needs to never make another movie again because at this rate no amount of toilet humor can distract from how poorly the story is written....
This isn't a James Gunn thread, so I'm going to have to insist that you refrain from making posts that are so far off topic. That goes for any thread, btw, and not just this one. Thanks so much.

Here we go ......
I have not watched these movies yet, mainly because nobody that I knows says I should and that they are no good, which obviously turns me off, IRL people all saying just don't bother that makes me feel like it's more true then listening to the internet which I stay away from, I still will watch these eventually, I'm a bit intrigued.
but director's cuts? didn't Zack Snyder already have like full creative control? why is there even more that he cut? that people need more?
it feels a lot like, like I baked these chocolate chip cookies, oh you didn't like that, lemme say I was intending to add marshmallows so here's chocolate chip cookies with Marshmallows, You like better?
I was let down with the first releases. Hopefully these director's cuts will improve the film and I'll like them more, just like I did with the BvS Dawn of Justice director's cut.
I honestly was looking forward to Rebel Moon; I thought that moving to an original screenplay maybe the idiocy that marked all of his DC films wouldnt be an issue.
I forced myself to watch half of part one, and then gave up. Characters that are barely 2 dimensional can still work (look at John Wick) but they at least need to be FUN. Snyder introduces a dozen characters that have no personality, virtually no backstory, and dull, repetitive action scenes to keep us interested.
Honestly I love his early stuff, and he is a perfect director for some scripts. But he CAN NOT WRITE. And no amount of slow motion makes a boring, shallow script any more interesting.
with Snyder presumably having been given free reign on these piles of nothing in the first place, what reason even is there for a """director's cut""" other than the obvious "Snyder Cut got a lot of viewage and attention so we gotta try to do that again"
Ohhh .. God.....
I may be the only one but I enjoyed the original versions of these 2 movies and will likely watch both Directors' Cuts. Now I'm not saying that they're classics or anything but I didn't understand all of the hate towards them.
