DreamWorks Animation Announces 'Shrek 5' For July 2026

DreamWorks Animation revealed through their social media platforms and by unveiling a teaser promotional poster that Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz will be reprising their roles for the upcoming Shrek Five.

Specifics of the storyline are being kept confidential, however, Walt Dohrn, who contributed as a writer and artist for the second and third installments and served as Head of Story for the fourth film, is set to helm Shrek 5. Gina Shay will be back as the producer, collaborating with Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, while Brad Ableson will co-direct.
