Paramount+ has decided to cancel the show Halo. This decision comes after the premiere of Season 2 on the streaming platform in February. As Deadline reported, Amblin Television, Xbox, and 343 Industries are now looking for a new home for Halo.

Paramount+ released the following statement:

“We are extremely proud of this ambitious series and would like to thank our partners at Xbox, 343 Industries, and Amblin Television, along with showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, his fellow executive producers, the entire cast led by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief and the amazing crew for all their outstanding work. We wish everyone the best going forward,”

“We deeply appreciate the millions of fans who propelled the Halo series to be a global success and we remain committed to broadening the Halo universe in different ways in the future. We are grateful to Amblin and Paramount for their partnership in bringing our expansive sci-fi universe to viewers around the world.”

That's a bummer. That show was the only good thing that I ever found on Paramount+ (unless you're a Star Trek fan, which I'm really not). I've never played these games and would have liked to see how that storyline ends. Hopefully the final season will get picked up by another streamer since that is what is being pitched. This makes me really glad that I dropped Paramount+ and I can't imagine that I'll ever try them again.

@MangaPrime, it's still worth the watch. There's an ending that sets up more, but you can still be satisfied with where it lands.

Dang it I just barely started this series.... let me guess the final episode is a giant cliffhanger

A "global success" BUT we're going to cancel it. I wish more people would realize how dumb this sounds. "John has achieved amazing success and for our company, but as of today, John is fired." Makes about as much sense.
