Netflix Greenlights 'Ghostbusters' Animated Series

According to insider information obtained by Variety, Netflix has officially approved the animated series "Ghostbusters," which was initially revealed in 2022. Elliott Kalan will serve as the writer, showrunner, and executive producer.

The series is produced by Sony Pictures Animation, featuring Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan from Ghost Corps, Inc. as executive producers. Reitman and Kenan have recently collaborated on the live-action films "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," with Reitman directing the former and Kenan at the helm of the latter. Netflix will manage the production with Ghost Corps, Inc., which operates under Sony’s Columbia Pictures.
