Amazon MGM Studios Advances 'Robocop' Series By Adding Peter Ocko As Showrunner, and James Wan As Executive Producer

September 25, 2024
Amazon MGM Studios is advancing the development of their Robocop series by appointing Peter Ocko as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the prospective series, which is inspired by the MGM film franchise. Additionally, James Wan will serve as an executive producer through his Atomic Monster production company. Ocko serves as an executive producer in collaboration with Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett for Atomic Monster. Danielle Bozzone is supervising the project on behalf of Atomic Monster.

The series will follow the premise of the films, focusing on a giant tech conglomerate that collaborates with the local police department to introduce a technologically advanced enforcer to combat rising crime — a police officer who’s part man, part machine.
