Good riddance is right. Nepo Baby Productions managed to crater Star Wars, Star Trek and deliver the worst Mission: Impossible film. Abrams is a TV director with no imagination outside of his influences. Now his Lost co-creator is facing backlash before Green-less Lanterns even airs.

I hear you. If people think the phrase "its so cringe" is overdone these days, it definitely applies there.
They filmed seasons 1 and 2 back to back so this is not a surprise. The surprise is that they arent shelving season 2 for the write-off to offset their WBD purchase.
Discovery and Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds were terrible too, but somehow, Kurtzmann has outdone himself and made the worst Trek show possible, where not only nothing happens, it happens all at the same bloody location too. How each episode cost 10$ million to make, I will never know, since the big name actors like Giamatti only appears 3 times in the show.

we don't need 45 Star Trek shows at once...like who would have thought that was a thing anyone really needed, calm yourself...one is enough.
"hey have you met my 19 dogs" ...one of them is getting fed less.
Actually this is the last Trek show that'll be running, Strange New World ends this year. Nothing else is planned at the moment. I hope they reboot the franchise and ignore everything Nu-Trek. They could go back and continue from after Voyager. No more prequels please, that only ruins the timeline.

It didn't. This was not renewed AFTER it aired and people saw it was great (because it was terrible), this was a situation like Velma was, that it got renewed for a second season even from the get-go, before it even aired.
This is a surprise to no one except the writers and producers of it.
Crazy, because I was talking about this show last night, legit, because someone I know works on it, eeek...
