Valaverse figures are not well made. I recently bought 11 and 7 arrived broken or damaged. When I tried to get a replacement, the owner viciously attacked me and laughed at me when his Facebook fans did the same. Ankles and necks of figures arrived broken. Paint was horrible and some were missing parts. Literally the most overpriced toys on the market. The company itself literally has challenged other people in the toy industry on live video feeds to fist fights and is not a professional at all. Do not trust that you will get posable figures. So unless you are just a in box collector, beware.

Before I post, just want to say I don't have any Valarverse figures at all, so I can't comment myself on how good they are or not.

I can say that I'm sorry Zarchron that it seems the Valarverse figures you got didn't live up to the quality you expected. I do know many praise it for quaility and value(Usually stating that for the same price or slight higher than 6" G.I. Joe Classified, that you get more Bang For Buck with extra heads, accessories, and what have you). Though do be mindful that there are people who do praise Bobby Valor for his products and what have you, there are those who seem to strongly praise Bobby Valor just because:

(a.) He's not 1 of the "Big Boys", but a small, independent company, but making good stuff. He's not owned by Shareholders(Similar to Todd McFarlane), so he can make his own decisions and what have you.

(b.) Many are upset that Big Toy Companies(Mainly Hasbro specifically) have been making bad or very werid decisions(Raising prices, windowless packaging, HasLab "Ghost Charger", etc.), and some bad quality products(HasLab Sentenital for example having the bad knees, something that should of been fixed even before the final production began).

(c.) Some have developed a "Anti-Hasbro" Statement for various reasons.

(d.) Because he's a small company, was a Ex-Hasbro Employee(No clue if he was fired or he just up and quit to start Valarverse), and the way he conducts himself in various Youtube Interviews(Which from what I've seen would say from time to time, doesn't seem professional, but again, he owns his own company, so he can decide how to act), he comes off more as "One of Us" normal people, due to the way he talks, his relatability(Many of us I'm sure have gotten frustrated when the HQ of the company we work for does stupid decisions), and because he doesn't have to worry about being "Professional" when he talks in interviews and what have you, coming off as a Rebel. You could say that this is his own personality "Brand" if you will, which can draw people to him, since he is taking straight, and "Real". No dancing around issues when people bring it up.

(e.) Bobby seems to be 1 of those who is part of a action figure community who seem to be taking a "Anti-Big Company/Hasbro" Stance, so they sometimes project a feeling of "You are with us, or against us" deal. So for those who have been fed up with all the "Corporate BS", he's like a god send to many people. Plus, regardless if he got fried or left Hasbro on his own, I'm sure he's got some axes to grind if you will. He's not a Big Company/Hasbro "Fanboy"/Supporter who blindly looks past a company's faults(Though I would say those who blindly follow Valarverse could 1 day find themselves in the same position, if they haven't done so already).

(f.) Many have claimed that Valarverse seems to offer better Customer Service when compared to a big company like Hasbro. 1 instance I heard is that even if you buy a Valarverse Action Figure from a 3rd Party/eBay Seller, they will still be able to help you out in replacing or getting the parts to replace for the exact same figure you have, with instructions if need to replace parts. While a big company like Hasbro will ask for pretty much all the info they need(Including receipt info, assuming you still have it), and if they replace your product, it may not be the exact same figure(Example: I bought Figure A, but the replacement figure is Figure Q).

I can tell you right now that in regards to the figure with the broken ankle, according to a video from a Youtube Channel call Analog Toys(Who for the record is a big Valaverse Fan, even having Bobby and himself appear in various weekly/month Video Podcasts together on other Youtube Channels), some figures between Waves 1-3 had a issue with the ankles due to some air bubble ending up in the Plastic Injection Process for the ankle joint or feet of the figure. However, Analog Toys has stated that Bobby has fixed this in recent waves, so hopefully, if you decide to buy anymore Valaverse product, you won't have those issues anymore.

As for Bobby himself, I'm sure he is modeling himself similar to Todd McFarlane back when Todd started his own comic book and toy company, as I'm sure Bobby would like to reach McFarlane and NECA levels for his own toy company, all while keeping it independent. His personality is his own brand, for better or worst, as I'm sure it helps him stand out among the "Big Boys" and McFarlane.

It has everything to do with their quality! If they got damaged that bad "in transit" then that's even worse. They should have been at least somewhat protected in their packaging. I personally only own 1 Valaverse figure, so I can't speak for the whole line's quality, but I have zero issues with the one I own.

The quality on them has gotten worse. Wave 3 is sadly the worst quality of the whole line. Bobby constantly talks big online, so he needs to step up his product or hes gonna make a fool of himself (which he sadly has many times already). Dont get me wrong, I do like Action Force, but I just wish Bobby and the crew will actually make something that lives up to their designs (and not make complete asses of themselves)

No he didn't. They are well made and I have the entire set front to back including the newest exclusive arriving today. Series 1 had some issues, but everything after that fixed the bugs, and it's a great line that puts most of the big boys to shame. Those pictures you are showing are something else. That isn't normal and it got damaged while in transit. That has nothing to do with the the company or their quality.

Also, so what if he has "challenged" others in live video? Good. More suits and owners need to do this, because these companies need to be challenged.

This is so wrong. Every wave 1 and 3 Vala toy Ive had in hand is terrible quality. Wave 2 is decent quality plastic wise, but their head sculpts are atrocious. Not new Lt Falcon level bad, but they all got crackhead eyes.

Would the gear packs work for other lines?

There are folks over on Hisstank who have been able to get vests and stuff onto the skinnier GI Joe Classified figure bodies like the one used for Beach Head, Breaker, Commando Snake Eyes and a few others. The guns definitely work with other lines.

Personally, I've heard nothing but good from Valaverse fans. I own a few and have ordered the new females wave and anticipate great things. I have had a few figures arrive damaged, but that was from the vendor and it was a simple as taking pictures of the figures before I took them off the card and the vendor honored the return.
