Robo Force: You might not remember that name, and there is a reason for that. In 1984, Robo Force, by Ideal, was set to be the biggest robot line, with a series of toys and an animated series in the plans. That same year, at the Toy Fair, Transformers was introduced to the world... The rest is history. The line would see a couple of revivals, but never really became big. Fast forward to October 2021, when the Nacelle company (the company behind awesome TV shows like 'The Toys that Made Us' and 'The Movies that Made Us' on Netflix, 'A Toy Store Near You' on Amazon Prime, a ton of great podcasts and stand up comedy specials, and even that Zac Efron travelling show, which was surprisingly captivating!) announced that they bought the Robo Force license and were planning a revival!

In order to make the best out of Robo Force, Brian Volk Weiss, the founder of the Nacelle company, would team with toy designer extraordinaire David Vonner, to make the first designs and prototypes for the line. The original figures from 1984 had the particularity of having a suction cup in order to stand up on your table, so that was definitely a component that needed to be implemented in the new figures. You can see Maxx Steele and Wrecker below.

ToyFarce got the exclusive scoop from Brian Volk Weiss that a team of the world's best scientist has been hired to improve and bring us the best modern suction cup technology! (Brian replied 'sure lol' when we asked him.) We've all had bad experiences with suction cups. They can sometimes stop to stick on the surface they're on, or not work if wet,... The team of scientists will work around the clock until the suction cup technology is at its optimal!

It looks cool, but the abandonment of the retro 50sish aesthetic means it doesn't look like Roboforce to me.
