It seem to happen a lot in our
hobby: You get a
new toy, you
unbox it, and really
enjoy it... then you watch a
review of it from one of your
favorite Youtubers (
be it your Shartatron, DCEUCollector24, B-Amazing, Perpendicular Universe, ToyLad, etc...) and
they hate it. Later, some would start to see the flaws in the figure and start to not like it that much anymore either. "It wasn't that great anyway..." some say to convince themselves.
We sat down with Nicolas, a collector who now only buys
toys that have been given a
good review by his favorite
Youtuber: "
I used to buy lots of figures back then, before I started watching reviews on the internet. Now, I only buy figures that another person likes on the internet. It makes my life a lot easier. No way I will ever get another figure that the toy community end up not liking again." he said. "
But I made a mistake... I had pre-ordered a figure, and it turns out it arrived early, so I didn't get to watch a review of it before I got it. Now, I don't know what to do. I kinda like it, but I don't know if the toy community will... I'm scared. What if they don't like it? What if they never review it?"
We hope Nicolas will feel better soon, and that his opinion is validated by someone else on the internet.
