ToyFarce News: McFarlane Toys Ecstatic That They Finally Managed To Reveal A Figure Themselves!

Over the last few months, the best way to keep track of the upcoming McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures was just to browse through social media to see the new figures being found in stores, either in Asia or in Target and Walmart superstores in the US, way before they are officially announced. But for the upcoming Arkham City wave, McFarlane Toys managed to keep the pictures of (most of) the figures under wraps until the official announcement!

As an example, in the last couple of weeks, we've seen pictures of the Gold Label Parallax figure, the Gold Label Dark Flash figures (with 3 different heads) and the Gold Label Shazam figure, in packaging, already in store, before McFarlane Toys even announced them with official promo pics. The same goes for the Super Powers line, of which the second wave (with The Batman Who Laughs, Flash and Green Lantern John Stewart) have already started to pop up in stores, while the brand hasn't officially announced them yet. A reverse-announcement, if you will, where the figure comes out first and is later announced officially.



So this time, imagine how happy the people at McFarlane Toys were when they managed to keep the reveal of the Solomon Grundy build-a-figure from the upcoming Arkham City wave to themselves! (Of course, there has already been rumors about the wave, and pictures of the Penguin figure had been floating around on the internet since july, but the rest was kept secret!) "We were ecstatic!" said a representant of the brand. "We had a pizza party at the office that day. It had been such a long time!"
