We are on week 2 of the
Target Fall Geek-Out event, and this week, the spotlight is on
NECA! This week's collectibles have now been announced and are available (More info
here), but it seems several people had already found them in their stores, leading us to believe that there could be some issues managing the event. We reached to a Target employee, and it turns out
it's all part of the plan!
The
Target employee shared with
ToyFarce the full "
internal calendar" that they use at the store to know what they can display, and when. "
When pictures start to leak early, it's actually part of the plan to create hype." said the employee. "
We actually have employees putting all the toys on the display, taking pictures of them, and then putting the toys back in the warehouse. It leads to more traffic in the store, since people want to find the toys, and when they can't find them, they end up leaving with a pack of soda cans or snacks."
