"
It's a dangerous job!" said the
Youtuber, who wished to remain anonymous, after getting a
papercut from the cardboard of one of the action figures he was opening live on
Youtube.
ToyFarce sat down with him for a recount of what happened. Viewers discretions is (
probably) advised.
"
I was ready for the live show, I had all my tools ready (by tool, he means a pair of scissors, a cup of coffee and a snack).
I had already said hi to the chat and gave each of them a shout out, and I had a lot of toys to open that day. I unboxed a few, and everything went fine: cut the tape, slide the insert out of the box, cut the plastic ties (why do they put so many, these days? Are they afraid the figures are going to escape?!), and play around with the figure a bit. But then, I got too comfortable, and didn't pay attention. As I slid my hand inside a box to grab the figure, the side of my finger slid against the cardboard and I got a terrible papercut. It really hurts!"
The livestream then took a weird turn, as the youtuber was screaming words that are usually censored on
Youtube. Quick on his feet, though, he turned the rest of the video into an
unboxing for a box of bandages. "
I feel like it was a great save, turning those skills that I learned through toy unboxing and using them on a box of Band-Aid, talking about the sculpt, articulations, paint apps..." The video has now been removed by the author from
Youtube.
