Last week,
Hasbro sent an email to all their customers letting them know that based on their feedback, they would be re-introducing
plastic windows and blisters to the packaging of most of their lines (
G.I.Joe Classisied, Power Rangers Lightning Collection, Star Wars the Black Series and Marvel Legends). Fans had been really vocal about not liking the plastic-free packaging, and
Hasbro listened. Well, what if there is a catch?
Here is the email we received. We are so glad that they acknowledged ToyFarce as one of their biggest fans!
The decision was met with a lot of praise, with
in-box collectors claiming they would go back to collecting figures (as if they ever actually stopped.
Come on, guys, we know you still bought them...), and one of the first comments
ToyFarce saw after the announcement was "
YES! BULLYING WORKS! LFG!" (which did not necessarily make us want to "
FG"). Was it a good decision from
Hasbro to comply? Only time will tell. Let's just hope collectors won't go for their
lunch money next.
ToyFarce noticed in the email that there was some extra text at the bottom using the same color as the background, so that it would not be seen (
unless you are a professional, like us), which said "
Your figures might be missing parts to make up for the plastic used for the packaging, though!". Ha! Always read the
fine, invisible prints!
