NECA Gargoyles Armored Xanatos and Elisa Maza Review and Images

It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having a look at 2 more Ultimate action figures from the Gargoyles line by NECA, the Armored David Xanatos and Elisa Maza. "What? 2 humans in the Gargoyles line?! Yup!" Those 2 figures came out around September (2 more came out since, another review coming soon!).

David Xanatos, in his Steel Clan Robot armor is a fun figure. If you have the Steel Clan Robot figure, it is pretty much the same figure, with the addition of the breathing apparatus around his neck, and the David Xanatos head. Oh, and that sweet shiny dark red color all over it, of course! Just like the Steel Clan robot, it is big and heavy, with a huge wing span. The Armored David Xanatos figure comes with an unmasked head sculpt with separate neck piece, 3 extra pairs of hands, 2 laser guns that can be attached on the forearm, and 3 fire effects to attach to his back and feet to make it look like he's flying. A great figure that would look great in front of an army of Steel Clan Robots (if you have the space. I don't!).

Elisa Maza, another long-awaited, fan-favorite character from the show, is another great figure in the line. Elisa comes 3 interchangeable head sculpts and 2 different hairstyles (normal and hair blown by the wind), 2 extra pairs of hands, her cat Cagney, a flashlight, her police badge and the closed wings for Brooklyn (Yay! I love getting those closed wings for the Gargoyles that take a lot of space). Elisa does not come with a gun, but I used a gun from the first McFarlane Toys Munitions pack, and voilą! Elisa is complete (She even has a 'trigger finger' hand). The head with the hair blown by the wind is definitely my favorite, and it is nice to have Elisa displayed next to Goliath. I'm hoping for her Gargoyles version from that one episode... fingers crossed!

"Who's there? Show yourself! Oh... it's you! You scared me!"

"Come here, you big silly!"

"I brought you something! - Aww, thanks! It fits perfectly!"

"Hey, can I play with your gun - NO!" - "Should we all go on a holiday together on a boat? - Not again..."

The next 2 figures from the Gargoyles line are David Xanatos in a normal suit and the final member of the rookery three, Lexington. They both started to pop out in stores in some states a few weeks ago, and I am waiting for BigBadToyStore to get them.

Both those figures can still be found on BigBadToyStore!

More news at 11:00... "What could put claw marks in solid stone?!"

Cool stuff!Love the blueish colored pictures. As a kid, I had Xanatos, but the first armor plate version which lacks the red highlights. Loved it anyways and it was one of my favourite of my own rogue gallery. Anyhow, the red paint really pops and more cartoon accurate.
