An unexpected turn of events took place over the weekend in a
Walmart store in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as
Jonathan, a seasoned toy collector bought a figure he already owned! "
It wasn't even an accident!" claimed Jonathan.
ToyFarce investigated...
"
It was a nice warm afternoon, and I decided to go to Walmart, to grab some groceries, and of course, I had to check the toy section..." said Jonathan. "
They had the usual stuff I always see, but this time, they also had a couple of other items I hadn't seen in a while, including the Jada Toys Street Fighter Ryu action figure. Man, what a great figure... Don't get me wrong, I got it months ago, I've opened it, played with it, took pictures, enjoyed it thoroughly! But there's something about seeing it in its packaging, brand new, in the wild... I had to get it."
According to experts, this is definitely not the first time that a situation like that happens: "
Impulsive re-purchasing" (or "
Impulse army-building") is a known tendency to buy something you already own,
just because. "
It just looked so good, on the peg, all crisp... Plus, they had a sale, so I even got it for a bit cheaper! Listen, I can try to justify this all day long, but in the end, I just wanted it...again."

We've all at least thought about it once... right?

Damn, it's a plague! Beware, it can happen to you as well!
I mean, I've definitely done this. Usually with things that I think will go up in value, just so I can open one guilt-free.
While I can't say I have never done this, I am glad I have some level of restraint when it comes to re-buys.?
Yeah that's kind of happened to me before. I've had a gut reaction to buy a figure I already own before like snapping out of it and just leaving it lol.
