It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having a look at the Batman: The Animated Series 1/6 Scale Scarecrow figure (Limited Edition) from Mondo. This line keeps having bangers after bangers, and Scarecrow is definitely one of them. In fact, it might be my favorite one yet!

As is tradition, the packaging has some beautiful art from Danny Haas. Mondo keeps doing that on purpose to make people want to keep their boxes, I swear.

Scarecrow was designed and sculpted by Alex Brewer and painted by Tom Rozejowski. The Regular version comes with 2 head sculpts or "portraits" (normal and unmasked), 3 pairs of hands + a pair of hands with gas effects, 2 crows, a scythe, a vial of fear toxin and a pocket watch, and the Limited Edition adds 2 extra heads (the first appearance head + a nightmare version) and a Joker rat, from Batman's hallucinations in the episode 'Dreams of Darkness'.

Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow is a great figure. It's a bit leaner than the other Mondo Batman: The Animated Series figures and therefore moves a bit better. This figure didn't require any heat for me, and was moving just fine straight outside of the box. The heads and hands are easy to change, and look amazing. Fantastic job by the Mondo team! The only nitpick I would have is that the regular and scary head sculpts are a bit limited in movement due to the hair, so he has to look forward at all times. Not really a deal breaker, but if you plan to pose it looking to the side *menacingly*, he cannot with 2 of the heads (or if you display it a bit on the side, he'll just be staring at Bane's back or the Joker's shoulders). The first appearance head is a nice touch, since it's the first itme we get it in a figure form (the Kenner and DC Direct ones only had the other head). The crows are a nice nod to the original Kenner figure which also came with one. The Joker rat is articulated on the neck and arms and looks very creepy!

The next two Batman: The Animated Series 1/6 scale figures from Mondo will be Poison Ivy and a gigantic Clayface, which already went up for pre-order.
You can still get the standard edition of Scarecrow from our sponsor BigBagToyStore!

I love that this comes with his S1, first appearance head. I've wanted that head for a long time. I don't collect this line, but I love seeing that head finally on a Scarecrow.
