UPDATE: Images and additional details have been reveal via Mashable.

There will be a limited 4-issue comic series from IDW to go along with the figure. The limited edition version of Gigawatt – of which only 1,985 numbered boxes will be released – is available for pre-order on Walmart's website starting at 1:00 p.m. ET on July 2. Gigawatt is also coming to "select retailers" on Oct. 1, 2020, which is also the same day the first issue of the comic releases.

We told you the other week how Hasbro had teased that they were going to be doing some kind of Back To The Future x Transformers Crossover toy and most likely it would be some kind of transforming DeLorean. Well now thanks to Amazon Spain we have an actual description of the toy to share with you.

• Through the Transformers Collaborative, fans can see these characters team up, merge, and reunite with other characters, teams, and people who share the same quality.

• When Marty and Doc Brown need to travel through time, Gigovatio is ready to fly. This time-traveling Autobot commemorates 35 years of Back to the Future

• Gigowatt features details inspired by the Back to the Future movie, including goggles like those worn by Doc Brown, a chest piece with a flux capacitor, and time circuits. Comes with launcher and whip antenna. Convert from robot to time machine mode in 17 steps

• In time machine mode, the Gigovatio figure features gull-wing doors that open and articulated wheels that rotate to simulate a scrolling effect like the one seen at the end of the film

• Can time travelers beat the clock?

Another nightmare Walmart presale, luckily this will be easy to get at all retailers by November.

Not bad, but I'm a bit on the fence about this one. Ectotron was an awesome looking figure, the alt mode was very accurate and the robot mode looked nice (I regret not getting it when I had the chance). In this case, I'm not really liking the look of the windshield, don't know what that is supposed to be, may be explained in the comics, but I'd have rather they gave him a colored windshield. As for the robot mode, he's quite blocky, not too bad, but that appealing really. Guess I'll have to wait and see some reviews so I can make up my mind.

The "mech-tech" windshield gives a "Mad Max" vibe to the Delorean. But, Hasbro should've given a plastic insert to simulate the glass pannel instead of collectors making one. It's just lazy. Unless the comics gives us a logicalreason behind the design.

I am with you. It does not look as good in robot form.

This looks really cool, love the concept. While I love Back To the Future I don't love Transformers enough to want to get this which works well since apparently this was the latest in pre-order disasters this year.

Agreed the robot mode does not look as great as the car mode!

The Dalorean Alt mode looks really nice, but I'm afraid I find the bot mode disappointing in execution. Maybe I'll change my mind once I see reviews, but at this point I'm just not digging it enough to pre order. It's too bad because I thought the idea sounded awesome.

No its not. But there are those who pay lots of money for things like that. Not my thing and could care less since I open my stuff, but there are those who do.

I am actually one of those you refer to. I do collect variants, but this just does not seem like a "variant" to me. Make the variant something like...streaks of fire come out the back or are extras in the box.

It came and went in seconds.

Dont really collect tf figures, but for some collectors this seems to be a nice figure, I dont think many would really "need" to have those Walmart exclusive ones, aside from diehard fans I see most people waiting for the regular release.
