G.I.Joe 3.75" Con Exclusive Boxset Details

The other day we gave you a look at one of the figures in this years G.I. Joe Convention 3.75" exclusive boxset and now the Collector Club has released their catalog for the convention which reveals more details about the set.

The set which will feature Tiger Force Vs. Iron Grenadiers based figures is titled "Springfield Island: Peril In Paradise", and here are the details released about it:

G.I. JOE intelligence reports that DESTRO has sent a regiment of his elite IRON GRENADIERS, led by GENERAL MAYHEM and executed a hostile takeover of a billionaire Montgomery Springfield, III’s tropical island in the South Pacific. The island’s private security force was no match for the blitzkrieg style attack by sea and air.

While the IRON GRENADIER leader’s exact plans are unknown, it is expected that this will become another primary location for them to stockpile munitions and test experimental M.A.R.S. technology. A G.I. JOE: TIGER FORCE unit, led by SGT. STALKER, is called in for this perilous mission to re-capture the island paradise and expel the IRON GRENADIERS at all costs. Getting onto the island will be extremely dangerous, but when the enemy sees the colors yellow and black, they will know that the TIGER FORCE team is hungry to fight and ready to attack! The 2015 3 3/4-inch convention set contains highly requested teams and some new additions available for the first time in the modern era 25A action figure style.

This special edition set includes:

Tiger Force (six figures): Sgt. Stalker, Dial-Tone, Big Brawler, Wreckage, Recondo, Edwin “Lifeline” Steen.

Iron Grenadiers (nine figures): General Mayhem, Metal-Head, Undertow Officer, Iron Anvils x 3, Undertow x 3.

Each of these great teams comes with their classic weapons, accessories, figure stands and file cards in this exciting fifteen figure boxed set. Also, make sure you are there for package pick-up on Thursday night so that you won’t miss this year’s souvenirs! These convention exclusive souvenirs will feature uniquely themed action figures and vehicles to battle for Springfield Island! Like in past years there will also be an exclusive set geared towards 12" GIJoe Collectors. This years set is called:

The Adventures Of G.I. Joe Test Pilot
featuring Fantastic Freefall and Des cent into Darkness

This set commemorates the very short run of the 1969 “Adventures Of” series and features a 12” G.I. Joe Adventurer in a reproduction of a “red-top” long box along with his tan cap and pants, white t-shirt, dog tag, Label revolver, brown shoulder holster, and brown boots. He also comes with a reproduction Fantastic Freefall parachute accessory set and a new Descent in toDarkness night-ops version of the same parachute accessory set.

All of these items will be packaged together in a display box featuring art from the “Adventures Of” era.
