EX MACHINA'S "FACT VS. FICTION" SELLS OUT ISSUE #13 OF THE EISNER AWARD-WINNING SERIES
EX MACHINA #13, the second part of the stunning 3-part tale "Fact vs. Fiction," has sold out at DC Comics. The issue, by the Eisner Award-winning team of writer Brian K. Vaughan and artists Tony Harris & Tom Pfeister, arrived in stores on July 20.
"Between this, the Eisner Awards, and the Wachowski Brothers writing an amazing introduction to our upcoming second collected edition, I'm beginning to think that I'm living in some fantasy Matrix world of my own invention," says Vaughan. "But if this is real, it's thanks entirely to Tony Harris, Tom Feister, (colorist) J.D. Mettler, (Editor) Ben Abernathy, and everyone at DC and WildStorm."
Adds Vaughan, "It sounds like we picked up a lot of new readers with the free edition of EX MACHINA #1, and I hope we pick up even more with issue #15, a great jumping-on issue and the first part of 'Off the Grid,' a new story about retired super-hero Mitchell Hundred leaving the Big Apple for the first time since being elected Mayor of New York City. This will lead directly into 'March to War,' which deals with demonstrators on both sides of the Iraq War debate, and might be the most controversial storyline of the year."
