The Runaways are taking a road trip to New York City and who else but the Earth’s mightiest heroes, the New Avengers, are there to welcome them.
In Runaways #9, the teenage would-be heroes cross paths with the new team of Avengers. But will the Runaways, who could one day become Avengers themselves, look up to them as role-models or are they just another group of adults not to be trusted?
The New Avengers are not the only New York super-team that the Runaways come across as they also cross paths with Cloak and Dagger once again. This time however, Cloak is a wanted man who has every hero in the city after him for a crime that he did not commit.
With the entire city bearing down on him, Cloak is forced to turn to the Runaways to help clear his name. After the loss of a teammate last issue, are the Runaways up to the task of clearing Cloak’s name?
The “East Coast/West Coast” storyline features the return of Adrian Alphona, incredible penciler and co-creator of Runaways. Runaways #9 is also the beginning of a brand new arc for the Runaways that finds them in new territory, traipsing their way through familiar parts of the Marvel Universe.
